Raya Papp is Founding Partner at SAGANA, a global impact investing and advisory firm where she focuses on Healthcare and Gender-Smart Investing as well SAGANA's Talent practice.

Prior to SAGANA, Raya was Co-Head of Asia Pacific at LGT Venture Philanthropy where she managed the investment portfolio across the region, often serving as a Board Member of portfolio companies. Her investment in Kennemer Foods received the Singapore Venture Capital & Private Equity Association’s Most Impactful Social Enterprise Deal Award. Prior to this, Raya ran the Social Enterprise Team at Impact Investment Exchange Asia (IIX) after she took a year-long sabbatical to guide the long-term vision and growth of Water for Cambodia, a Deutsche Bank supported clean water NGO, where she continues to serve as Board Member.

Raya began her career on Wall Street where she was Vice President of Corporate Finance and M&A at Morgan Stanley covering Fin Tech. She was later Executive Director at Deutsche Bank Global Asset Management. She led the market development of Thomson Reuters’ Scientific Division across the Asia Pacific region and she worked at tech start-up Priceline.com to close two rounds of private equity and complete their IPO.

Raya is a champion for gender equity and women-led businesses, leads SAGANA’s partnership with Cartier’s Women’s Initiative and recently co-authored the public and private markets report, “Gender Lens Investing Landscape - East and Southeast Asia.” She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia.
