1. How do I get an invitation to the Summit?

The Gender-Smart Investing Summit is an invite-only event and our delegates are hand-selected by a committee. We curate our invitation list to maximise the diversity of voices, backgrounds, and experiences, all in an effort to advance our overall objective of facilitating the deployment of more gender-smart capital globally. Fill out our online form to register your interest to attend and we will be in touch if you are selected.

Delegate seats are strictly limited, but if you’re unable to secure a place we’re still keen to hear your input. Opt in here ***HYPERLINK TO MAILING LIST REGISTRATION*** to receive notifications and bulletins about the Summit, as well industry updates and news.

2. What are the dates for the Summit and what is your venue?

The 2018 Gender-Smart Investing Summit will take place November 1-2, 2018 at the Grand Connaught Rooms in Central London. There will be a pre-conference programme the afternoon of October 31 in London at a venue TBA; the actual Summit itself will begin at 8:30 am on the 1st and continue until 5pm on the 2nd.

All registered participants will be eligible for free access to the pre-conference event, which will provide a smart on-boarding to the sector. Please note that space is limited and it will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

3. What is the attendance fee?

Registration fees start at $1,200 for nonprofits/NGOs, Academia, and Government Institutions, $1,500 for businesses and firms with under $50M in annual revenue or funds with under $100M in assets under management, and $2,000 for larger corporations, firms, and funds, as well as for development finance institutions, foundations, and individual investors.

4. Who is coming?

Delegates will be decision-makers and experts from across the investment spectrum, either already actively moving capital with a gender lens, or on the verge of breaking ground. Participants will include leaders and decision-makers from fund and asset managers, foundations and family offices, development finance institutions and multilateral banks, corporations, pension funds, policy makers, financial intermediaries, international NGOs engaged in impact investing, and ecosystem builders, as well as research and ratings firms. A select group of high net worth individuals and philanthropists will represent catalytic capital. We will also be joined by a set of inspiring entrepreneurs and those on the demand side of capital, ensuring their voice is heard at the table.

5. Can I propose additional speakers or delegates to the Summit?

Yes. Please see our criteria, and encourage those who would be appropriate to attend to complete the application to register their interest in attending, or you may propose delegates by emailing GLISregistration@caspianagency.com.

6. Can I bring a personal guest to any of the Summit’s sessions?

Due to limited capacity, guests are not permitted to attend.

7. How many people can attend from my organisation?

We are keen to curate a diverse mix of voices, experiences, and skillsets at the Summit, so we are limiting the forum to one to two delegates per organisation, with exceptions made for major sponsors.

8. Can I suggest someone to take my place at the Summit?

While the invitation is specific to each person, we review transfer requests on a case-by-case basis. Please submit your request to GLISregistration@caspianagency.com.

9. Will I be able to pitch at the summit?

We are making this a pitch free space. It is a place to share ideas and collaborate, but not a place to actively seek funding.

10. What is the easiest way to get to the venue?

By Rail: The closest tube stations are Covent Garden (Piccadilly line) and Holborn (Central line), both within easy walking distance. London Euston, Kings Cross, and St. Pancras International stations are under a 30-minute walk or a short taxi ride away. All of London’s remaining mainline stations are easily reached by the underground network.

By Car: For travel by car, use the following navigation coordinates (51.515567 – 0.120687) and postcode (WC2B 5DA). The nearest car park is on the corner of Drury Lane and Parker Street and is only a two-minute walk away.

From the Airport: The London Heathrow International Airport is 18 miles away, or roughly an hour by car or by train. All of London’s international and domestic airports have excellent links into Central London. Heathrow airport is approximately 40 minutes by tube from Covent Garden.
